About Bhekula Lodge

Bhekula Lodge offers 4 self-catering, two-bed chalets each carefully tucked away in the sand forest, (this line needs to be in a different font/slightly bigger then the rest) maximizing privacy and encouraging the abundant and diverse bird and butterfly life. A third bed can be added as necessary. All chalets are appointed with 100% cotton linen and towels.

Accommodation

The chalets are ideally placed to give the discerning nature lover the ultimate level of seclusion and, inspired by the natural surroundings, have been beautifully named in isiZulu by the local community:

• Izinyoni (Bird Suite)
• Izimvemvane (Butterfly Suite)
• Izihlahla (Tree Suite)
• Izilwane (Animal Suite)

The lodge has been established with sustainability in mind, running off solar electricity, borehole water, and gas, therefore guests are asked to be wary of their usage. Electricity is supplied by a 220v solar power system; however, this cannot handle electrical appliances such as kettles and hair dryers.

Each chalet has an en-suite bathroom and a shower with sliding doors that open directly onto the forest. The chalets are connected by a network of paved pathways and are serviced by a central dining/kitchen area.

The open-plan lounge area is refreshingly simple to make the most of any light breeze blowing through the forest. The central living area is stocked with the necessary comforts for a stay in the bush.
